PURELY PUP
Purely Pup started with a college professor, a holistic medicine doctor, and an investor with a vision for change. With product in hand, this visionary of a man approached Loyola Marymount University with a challenge to its students to take his formula and create a brand. And with that brief, 4 students and an LMU professor from the university’s internal social impact consultancy, The Good Lab, got to work and birthed Purely Pup, an impact-driven pet boutique.
My task for this project was to simply create a Brand & Identity system. From Logos, to color, packaging to website. I wanted to give them a unique and fun look but at the same time, tell their story.

My approach to the packaging for this brand was to keep it light and simple. I've seen a lot of different dog soaps at stores and notice a lot of them are busy. I wanted something clean and minimal to stand out on shelves as a premium product. On the label itself there's a ton of negative space and had the colors from the pallet pop. Each color had a representation as shown below

SHAMPOO
The Purely Pup Shampoo is an eco-shampoo packed with a bamboo booster to support a more robust lathering experience when you are bathing your dog. This bubble experience is one of the features that make this shampoo very special. It is powered by nanotechnology, which makes for a more powerful cleaning experience, and the run-off is biodegradable because of its naturally occurring ingredients, making it nature’s best friend.
SPRAY // MIST
The Purely Pup Mist is a synergistic mixture of natural extracts, which will keep your pup clean in between washes. Our mist has both cooling and warming effects that work together to soothe your pup’s coat while killing bacteria to enhance skin regeneration and immunity. Our ingredients help the release of toxins and heavy metals on the skin, which can make your pups sick. The mist is a no brainer to ensure the longest, healthiest, and happiest life possible for your loved ones.
PAW BALM
The Purely Pup Paw Balm is free of sulfates, parabens, toxins and is entirely eco-friendly. We have created nature’s solution to soothing cracked paws, making it pain-free for your pup to cruise around the pavement on your walks. It comes in a deodorant stick form factor to ensure a mess-free application.
